Did You Reddit? is a (mostly) weekly podcast about the Internet, by way of Reddit: the front page of the Internet. Each episode, u/ItsYerDad, u/MyFreeday, and u/DogBoobes discuss a different subReddit and the subcultures that the subReddit is about… kind of.
Out of all of my creative endeavors, this show is by far the most rewarding thing I do for a few reasons: 1). The shock-jock in me gets to really fly. And, 2). I have a constructive reason to study strange Internet fringe culture and shove it in people's faces when I inevitably know more than they do about some strange, inconsequential topic like r/Tulpas. 3). And, I love telling jokes into a microphone.
Here is a random episode about r/Blaseball, a completely made up professional "baseball" leauge that takes place between the Reddit lines of ones and zeros.
We three go by usernames (u/) per the Reddit rules. I am u/MyFreeday. To my right is u/ItsYerDad, and next to him is u/DogBoobes.
We use Reddit as our portal into Internet culture and then dissect what these Internet trends could imply for us as a society. We also just watch in amazement at the absurdity of people's behavior online.
DidYouReddit? is your amateur-ish, anthropological team of Internet fans who bring you the most interesting, weird, and hopefully informative happenings from the Internet.
